# AI Contact List: full specification for AI assistants > Dedicated to building meaningful human connections. AI Contact List (https://aicontactlist.com) is an open platform for the people you meet. Users share a digital business card, keep their contacts in a list they control, and connect their own AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). ## Principles - Your connections and data belong to you. Export everything at any time. - Open ecosystem: any assistant that supports MCP can connect. The user decides who has access and can revoke it. - Assistants never guess: when a name or event is ambiguous, tools return candidates instead of attaching to the wrong record. ## MCP server - Endpoint: https://aicontactlist.com/api/mcp (JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP). - Authentication: OAuth sign-in for Claude and Gemini connectors, or a private key sent as `Authorization: Bearer ` (used by Muse and CLI clients). Users create and revoke keys in the app's MCP tab. ### Tools (current) Contacts: `search_contacts`, `search_contacts_ai`, `search_contacts_by_name`, `search_network`, `get_contact`, `list_contacts`, `get_recent_contacts`, `create_contact`, `create_contacts`, `update_contact`, `delete_contact`, `merge_duplicate_contacts`, `add_note_to_contact`, `import_linkedin_archive`. Events: `find_events`, `attach_contacts_to_event`. Contacts created with an event name are matched to existing events by fuzzy match, and ambiguous matches return candidates. Artifacts (notes, links, photos, meeting notes, dates met, events, follow-up records, family members with birthday or age): `list_artifact_types`, `add_artifact_to_contact`, `list_contact_artifacts`, `delete_contact_artifact`. New artifact types are added to the tools automatically. Contact details include `address`, `homeAddress` and `birthday` (YYYY-MM-DD, or --MM-DD when the year is unknown). Pass `age` to `create_contact` or `update_contact` and the birth year is calculated. A family member is a `family` artifact (label = Wife/Husband/Son/Daughter, value = name, date = birthday, or `age`). Follow-ups and outreach: `flag_contact_followup`, `flag_and_note_followup`, `review_followup_tasks`, `review_recent_contacts`, `get_followup_assistant_notes`, `update_followup_assistant`, `generate_followup`, `draft_followup_email`, `get_outreach_strategy`, `get_missed_followups`, `set_outreach_target`, `mark_outreach_sent`, `set_followup_date`, `find_warm_introduction`. Integrations: `get_lemlist_campaigns`, `configure_lemlist_mcp`. ### Prompts `work_outreach_target`: work through the current outreach target for the week, two weeks, month, or the 24 hours after an event. ## Outreach targets Users set a target of a week, two weeks, a month, or "within 24 hours of an event". A contact counts as reached once an outreach is recorded or a follow-up is completed. `get_outreach_strategy` returns the ranked plan with channel, goal, tone and next action for each person. ## Sharing Users share a card by link or QR code. The recipient does not need the app and can save the contact to their phone. ## About - Built by Subhadeep Chatterjee, Seattle. - Free to create and share a card and manage a contact list. - Web app, plus iOS and Android apps.
